Jake Gyllenhaal's latest movie, Southpaw was released around 3 months ago. Sure, the movie was great and all, but I think there's only one question we've been asking regarding the film; how did Gyllenhaal get such a ripped build?
Well, we go ahead and find out what the "Southpaw diet" really is. Jake's personal trainer, and former professional boxer, Terry Claybon said that the following things were included in Gyllenhaal's transformation:
Professional diet- Jake had to stick to food stuffed with carbohydrates and protein and he had to eat, a lot of it
Nerve-racking exercise: Right, so I'm just going to summarize and shorten all this for you guys. Why? So you don't faint upon finding out how epic all this will be. The exercise included 1000 sit-ups a day, a 100 push-ups a day, around 10km of jogging everyday and if that isn't enough, he had 3 hours of boxing workout, along with cardio.
Making it real- Apparently, Jake also trained with professional boxers to up his performance in the movie and, give him the moves.
Not thinking of how lazy you are? Well, you should be.
*Do not try this at your home.
